I used to be quite angry at God for leaving me behind on a penal colony for the criminally insane. People are quite unintelligent, usually mean spirited, and also insane, so it does little good to try to communicate with any of them.
God and I have since become good friends and so I no longer feel abandoned and left behind by Him. People however, are still incredibly unintelligent, mean spirited, insane, and it does little good to attempt to communicate with any of them.
If you’re offended by my words, you’re probably part of the problem.
I do prefer the company of dogs, or even cats. Birds, hamsters, even bugs. None of these creatures pretend to be so much more intelligent then the really are, and they are either kind and friendly or else they are purpose driven. They seldom suffer any mental health problems, except perhaps for birds who can pluck out all their feathers after having spent too much time with humans.
Many people are into rescuing animals right now and I’m like, why would you inflict your neurosis on an innocent creature? “He’s a rescue.” Surely you mean a hostage? A prisoner of your twisted, solipsistic love? A trophy in which to display your perpetual virtue signaling?
The Bible says “there are none worthy, not one.” An astounding number of people seem to believe they are an exception to the rule, they are the one, and so they are rude, boorish, contemptuous, disrespectful, and self absorbed. Oh my gosh, so, so self absorbed. Also, unbearably unintelligent, mean spirited, and often insane.
God didn’t change my view of people at all, He changed my view of Him.

I don’t think I’ve said anything about hatred, but I am certain that if we can’t acknowledge the truth of our own condition, we can’t know Christ.

Well, your opening paragraphs on defining fellow humans as being part of your own personal situations sorta implied some level of disillusionment in humanity. But to your last reply.. most assuredly.

Kinda reminds me of that quip, “the more I get to know people, the more I love my dog.” But as you allude, “the more we get to know people, the more I’m drawn to God.”

I was reading a discussion the other day about the recent ‘disclosure’ on the UFO phenomenon and somebody had an interesting theory—which, when one thinks about it seems humorous but is actually logical. What if these flying saucers are manned by immigration officials? Some advanced civilization has a ‘border wall’ of sorts, and they patrol our skies—not to reach out to us, but to keep us from making contact with their people. The Elites are covering up their existence because they’re too ashamed to admit the truth; but at the same time know that they pose no immediate security threat.
It’s said that Eisenhower had a meeting with aliens: imagine if that was a group of uniformed delegates from Space with a stack of official documents telling him that our space exploration was limited to certain areas of the galaxy and that the heads of the UN and the USSR had been put on similar notice. If that were true, it would be the most massive collective ego-deflation in human history. Imagine a Pentagon official today reading a Classified document: “They even said that seeing our planet makes them feel better about the problems they have on theirs. They also said that people in their jails and mental hospitals were less dangerous than what we consider great intellects and celebrities on ours.” (his face turning redder) “It was decided by their leaders that our most advanced civilizations were characterized by hypocrisy, gender dysphoria, narcissism, addiction, and a proclivity towards senseless violence and sabotaging public interest for private gain. Therefore, it was ratified by their Congress a decree that Earth was under an embargo and an immigration ban until we demonstrate that we are capable of living in civilized manner.”
Somehow, I can’t get the idea out of my head that something like that may really have happened.

Ha! That is a great explanation. Aliens could well be immigration officials! We do know if they were intelligent they would have posted a space buoy warning others to bypass this planet. 🙂

I do prefer talking to cats to solipsism. And I can sympathize with the madness cats have to endure in the crazy world of Cockatoos!

“Many people are into rescuing animals right now “, off topic, I know, but I recently read that a very large percentage (maybe 50?) of animals ‘rescued’ during covid are returning to the shelters. Very sad, Indeed.
