I could never be a pastor. Seriously, I think I’d just kill people. I’d probably get off on an insanity plea, too.

Funny that some of those very comments were expressed last Sunday at church.

Will need to share these important tips at our next leadership meeting. 🙂
Seriously, if I thought this is what church is really about, I would become a devoted atheist (or anti-Churchian).

Me, too! I certainly wouldn’t be a pastor…unless I was masochistic

Isn’t it amazing what people get hung up on regarding church? Sometimes when I hear people complain about worship styles or music, I think — in the grand scheme of things, does it really matter?!?!

I hear you! It’s like death by a thousand little trivialities.
I heard a women speak once about how before the Berlin wall fell, they would gather in a basement and lipsynch their worship, so they could all sing hymns without being heard and discovered. How quickly we forget these things, forget what a privilege it is that we don’t have to contain our singing to simply forming whispered words with our lips.

I once heard a complaint from someone that everyone is trying to talk to them. Such a first world problem…

LOL! It’s miserable, just miserable I tell ya…there are these people who try to talk to you. Than there are the huggers, heaven forbid. As if that is not miserable enough, sometimes people are even friendly. 🙂

I know right? That complaint really floored me because it happened at the same time someone was telling me they left a church because no one greeted them…oh the contrast!

Reblogged this on Truth in Palmyra and commented:
We really do have some serious obstacles here in our churches today, don’t we? What a humorous look at some of our “problems.”
Blessings and enjoy!

Thanks IB, you have no idea how many times I fight back the urge to send them straight to Jesus to let them tell Jesus face to face what they tell me….lol

Why do you fight back the urge? If they have a problem with the church they should tell it to Jesus. He might even respond to their complaints.

Thanks Clyde! Still smiling and laughing…maybe we are right, send ’em straight to Jesus! And yes Jesus would respond to their complaints…
