I’ve really been enjoying the Babylon Bee.
Christian satire, biting, painfully true. Humor keeps me sane. Gallows humor. She who laughs, lasts. Here’s a couple of my favorites:
‘What Has God Ever Done For Me?’ Asks Man Breathing Air
ISIS Group Waters Down Message To Attract Seekers
Local Woman Convinced Amish Romance Novels Are Totally Not Porn
Ex-Troll Ministry To Launch Next Month
There are many more, all poking fun at the culture with a sharp wit.

I used to love the Wittenburg Door. Glad to have another source to enjoy the genre. Thanks, IB.

Smells a bit like the Onion – but more sanctified !
Thanks for posting. I had not heard of Babylon Bee before.
I have been enjoying these guys too:

Ha! A sanctified onion, I love it. The Onion can be downright scary, as in “wait, I think that’s real life, not satire!”
Thanks for the link, I’ll check them out.

Every time I post something lifted from The Onion, sure as shootin’ someone takes it seriously. That’s a measure of how crazy the world has become. Satire, reality — what’s the difference?

I’ve read a couple articles there but didn’t know what to make of them overall. Glad to get your reaction.

Me too, Becky! I was hesitant, satire can be a delicate thing. From what little I know however, the editor is Adam 4D, and he’s been doing Christian comics for a while now. I appreciate his sense of humor.

I know this will bring ire from some, but I liked Joel Osteen Ordered To Acquire Butcher’s License Due To Exegetical Methods. I have tiptoed around preachers like Pastor Osteen for too long, I think, because I was afraid of offending someone who finds help in his sermons. I don’t doubt that some learn something important about God from his teaching, but I think he leads many astray, largely because he does not handle Scripture well. And that’s what this article says in a humorous way.

Sounds like a spin off of http://www.eyeofthetiber.com, a faux news site for Catholics.
