I think I shall begin a new series called, “Daily Devotionals from the Beverly Hillbillies,” allowing for a great deal of artistic license here. In other words, the names have been changed to protect the guilty, and some events likely never actually happened.
However, today’s offering is true enough and it is based not only on the Beverly Hillbillies, but also on the inherent, biblical truth to be found in our bibles right past the words, “In the beginning…..” and right before the words, “…The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”
Today’s devotional is, “You ornery coot, you ain’t got no sense.”
Precisely. Meditate on that one daily. And remember, always honor your Granny.

Luv the scriptural truths of course, but not sure what side of the coot fence I prefer.
Maybe Jethro can tell me, or even Ellie. 😉

LOL! I left you a comment celebrating all things barbarian and our Bronze Age ancestors, too. Have no idea what WP did with it, but when it comes to those kinds of things, the so called “civilized and elite” don’t impress me much. I’d much rather hang out with the coots and barbarians. 🙂

Tkx u sooo much for telling me msb! Here’s a bunch of apologies sent your way on behalf of the Wonkiness.
You must know I relish every observation of yours; and if u are sent to the island of misfit toys….
…there is probably a sound reason. 😉

There is a Bible study for the first few episodes of Beverly Hillbillies on video as well as a longer series for Andy Griffith. We can find God almost everything.

Ha! I’m going to have to search for that Beverly Hillbillies bible study. Sounds exactly like something I would like. 🙂

I used it in my Sunday school class on VHS. I have seen it on Amazon, along with the Andy Griffith one, but I did not look to see format, sorry.
