A perfect illustration of the moral theological implications of the problem of evil. The world has evil in it. How do we know this? Evil is non-existence. How can something have non-existence? Evil inclines toward the non-existence. “Thou shall surely die.” They ate the fruit and the inclination to non-existence entered into the world. This means the world is not perfect for much inclines things toward non-existence. Therefore, the non-existent coffee in your hands after you’re done yawning shows that evil is real and so is non-existence.
Ha! To be separated from coffee is evil indeed, but not quite as bad as being separated from God. As it says, “For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”
there was too much evil this week for me. probably the first genuine laugh I had from this shock. first Orlando, then the British MP Jo Cox…
Satan’s angels are loose in this world–we must stand our guard with love.
My girlfriend is heavily involved with the Scottish Conservative Party. Though Mrs Cox was of the Labour Party, the very thought of such a senseless assassination has left me simply terrified.
I’m so sorry. It’s really been a distressing week in so many ways. I was upset about the murder of Christina Grimmie, just a young girl with a great voice and someone just walked up and killed her. Than we had the tragedy in Orlando. And Jo Cox.
I try to remember that faith and fear cannot exist together, that “perfect love casts out fear” and that we have to keep our eyes on Him and trust that we will get through all this.

My paraphrased version of the Bible I’m working on reads: “For in him we live and move and drink our coffee”.

Well, I’m glad you’ve laughed! There has been far too much loss and grief this week, just very sad and pointless.

Ah, yes. Christina Grimmie was technically last week…but still awful. I saw her video of her singing on The Voice on YouTube.
