I totally snagged this meme from JP Sears. Since I just snatched the guy’s meme, you should probably click here and go visit his site, buy some merch, watch his videos.

He is a comedian, probably best known for his “super spiritual” series, which totally cracks me up. Over the past year or so, he’s gone on to become a great encourager for freedom and critical thinking, fighting censorship, and trying not to let the turkeys get you down.

I’m a Christian, so I’ve been talking and writing a lot about God’s sovereignty. God’s sovereignty is really good news for a variety of reasons. One reason is that we are made in His image, so if God is sovereign, then I am too.

Chuckling here, but I have definitely tested positive for sovereignty. Hope that bug goes viral, along with critical thinking and common sense. Those are the kind of germs you want to share with others. Hug them often.

Socially distancing from the system can be very, very challenging. My heart goes out to younger people, because “the system” and peer support can feel like their whole world. I just want to put a good word in here for getting older, to let you know that the best is yet to come. There have been these milestones in my life that were just like, wow, so this is what heaven smells like. Like poof, I no longer feel fear. Or, I just woke up one day and suddenly realized, wow, I no longer feel any need people approval. There is something so liberating about no longer worrying about rejection.

So if you are young and somebody tries to tell you, “these are the best days of your life,” nope! They are totally full of coconut candy. The best days of your life are when you feel emotionally and spiritually equipped to embrace the freedom of your own sovereignty.
