So listen, I don’t want to sound uncharacteristically somber and serious, nor do I want people to think I’m a total conspiratress. I am you know, I do love a good conspiracy theory. The problem being this isn’t a “theory,” it’s simply common sense. So, I just want to say, those who are waiting patiently for things to “get back to normal,” it ain’t happening. It ain’t going to happen.
Those who seem to believe if we just comply enough, just cooperate enough, just do everything they say, (wear your mask you idiot, so we can all open back up again) it ain’t going to happen.
If you’re waiting for covid 19 to go away, it aint going to happen either. We could get down to no cases anywhere and there’s another “pandemic” right around the corner waiting for us. The media is already on it.
Government and public health officials are already trying to say we’re going to have to wear masks for years, certainly until we get a mandatory vaccine. Beside, flu season is coming this fall……
Never in the history of ever has anyone in government voluntarily relinquished power over others that they have managed to attain. The only way to get our freedom back is to stop playing the game, stop the charades, and stop buying into the fear. We have to say “no,” and we have to say it somewhat collectively. None of this can continue without our consent.
I’m pleading with Christians who are just sitting there quietly accepting a ban on singing in church. C’mon on people, some part of you knows this is not okay. The power of life and death is in our tongues, it says that in the Bible. If we believe those words, if the singing we do actually means something, then we have to realize that shutting down churches, mandating we all wear masks, and telling us it’s too dangerous to sing our praises, are all huge red flags.
I’m pleading with everyone who has ever felt the “benevolent” hand of government, anyone who still carries trauma from those experiences. C’mon people, we all know what this is. It smells just like history trying to repeat itself. It’s a power play.
We flattened the curve! Heck, we shut down unused field hospitals and laid people off from our hospitals. We did not get our freedom back. We shut our businesses down, we bought the hand sanitizer, we put on the masks, and we stayed home and we still did not get our freedom back. It aint going to happen. Freedom once taken is not something you just “get” back. There will be no passively sitting around and waiting for our freedom to be politely returned to us once we’ve met all the requirements.
We met the requirements. So they just moved the goal posts. They will continue to do so.
We aren’t going to “get” our freedom back, like it will just be passively and nicely returned to us based on our compliance. That is a big lie, a total deception, and has never happened anywhere, in the history of ever. Frankly, I’m a bit embarrassed people still believe that. Not even God Himself, and He is Holy, just, and perfect, just “gives” us freedom. He may open the door to our prison, tear down the walls, and coax us out, but even then we have to walk out under our own steam. Or crawl. Whatever works. The point being, it is extremely rare we ever get anything without first opening our hand and reaching out for it.
Jan 22, 2020 is when all of this began in my state. We are going on seven months now! 7 months. A quarantine is for the sick, not the healthy, and it should last about two weeks. To quarantine the healthy is simply tyranny.
Such notions often put me at odds with friends, family, even some churches. The problem being, I know I’m right, I know that everything I see points in the direction I am observing. We get our freedom back when we stop voluntarily consenting to hand it over. That easy, that simple.

Each person can secure their own salvation by trusting in the Son of God and His promise of redemption. This world is destined to be melted down with fervent heat and burned up and annihilated and replaced with a New Heaven and a New Earth. But it is natural for a normal person to want something more than that. I believe we are not yet at the end of the age, in the sense that God is still willing to hear our sincere and heartfelt prayers for earthly deliverance, if we will humble our selves and seek His face and turn from our wicked ways and stop being the way we have been being.
The thought that has struck me for a while is that the coming of the Great Tribulation seems to be a deliberate choice, and not something that just comes arbitrarily out of nowhere for no particular reason. People are, like, willfully demanding that God come down here and pull out our plug.
So, what I’m saying is, if we can find it in our hearts to get down on our knees and pray the II Chronicles 7:14 prayer, and mean it, we just might convince God that we are worthy of better than this ignominious destruction at the hands of these leftist SJW @$$clowns and other psychotic demon infested winged monkey servants of Satan with which we have to contend.
If not, then, we are each of us left to be saved individually, with no collective or national salvation. This is the reason that I’m not worried about me, but I am worried about everybody else.

Good, comment. I like what you said about how, “the Great Tribulation seems to be a deliberate choice,” I often observe that kind of thing, too. Recently I tried to chat with some protestors using the slogan, “burn it down.” They were mostly very comfortable, very entitled, very sheltered white kids, calling for the complete destruction of our country. It’s kind of like demanding the plane you are flying on crash. Not rational at all.

Remember Anton La Vey, the guy who wrote the popular book, “The Satanic Bible?” I read the 1st half of that book when I was a teenager, because I was interested in religion and philosophy and cultural anthropology, and noticed that it was basically the Playboy Philosophy; the 2nd half of the book was spells which I was not interested in.
But my point is that Anton La Vey was a L.A.R.P.-er, L.A.R.P.-ing around in a black hooded cape, making a nice living selling fools the BS that they craved.

Quite true. I often call this a grand larp-ing adventure because it is so disconnected from reality. Half of those kids are just playing a game they don’t even understand. They’re just being used as useful idiots by people way more sophisticated then they are.

II Chronicles 7:14

See how this is a collective prayer, and not a prayer about an individual seeking personal forgiveness?
Each of us must bear our own burden, and we should all bear one another’s burdens. We must each of us secure and establish our own personal salvation for our individual soul, but, we must also concern ourselves with our families, friends, communities, and nations, if we want to be doing God’s will in our lives.
The victory is God’s, but the fight is ours. Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord.

I wish more people from oppressed countries would speak out. This just goes to show that people don’t know their history. This didn’t just start with COVID. It’s been going on for years, systematically breaking down the fabric of our society, operating out of fear. Our children have been indoctrinated in school. I too was shocked to just see our churches just roll over and play dead. I think that’s when satan really got a foothold. I’m shocked by how many people…smart people…educated people…have bought in to the mass hysteria. When the CHOP thing was going on, I really wanted to see Christians get organized and encircle the autonomous zone, join hands and pray. Could you imagine? The media needs to be dismantled. But when they are owned by 6 billionaires and all but one are liberal democrats, how do we expect to hear unbiased news? I find it completely ironic that Independence Day has been cancelled. Think I’ll go buy my angry incense and celebrate. Praying harder than ever before for people’s eyes to be opened.

There was quite a bit of Christian activity going around Chaz, not covered by the media of course. I know there was a some evangelism, a couple of baptisms, and a few street preacher got pushed around. Several Christian groups surrounded the place and held hands. There were some people handing out Bibles. But yeah, many of our churches just rolling over and playing dead broke my heart and caught me by surprise.
So bizarre that there is such an effort being made to cancel Independence Day! Wut?? At least in my neck of the woods, the 4th of July rebels are winning and making a joyful noise for days now. It’s rained heavily so it’s pretty safe and I’m really looking forward to hearing some more sounds of freedom. 🙂

Glad to hear about the Christian activity. It’s been very quiet around here regarding fireworks. Of course I’m about 45 minutes outside of DC (lucky me, right?) and I get to see every street mural, every protest (of which there are more planned today). Enjoy the sounds of freedom. I’m hoping it livens up around here, in a good way, of course.

Risk Management is not zero risk. I’m cautious yet I venture out more and more. I’ve gone to restaurants, checked out library books, and never stopped going to grocery stores. I see more family and friends as time goes on. What a risk taker I am! Existential threats have always lurked around every corner. I won’t be frozen in place because of these unavoidable aspects of life.

Amen, risk management is not zero risk! So, locally we’re going on months now of closed libraries, totally shut down. Last week they opened up to limited curbside service. So you can order some materials, call, and they will set them outside on a table and run back inside. Once the whole area is cleared of people, you are allowed to get out of your car and collect your stuff. It really broke my heart. It is psychologically damaging, especially long term. We might as well just be chanting “unclean, unclean” and making everyone feel like lepers and outcasts.

Since June 15 we had outdoor book pickup. Staff puts it in the car trunk and actually talks to us! June 29 people can go in for limited time to find books or use tech for an hour with a reserved time. I was thinking this may be an opportunity for the nefarious powers that be to want to shut down libraries permanently. I don’t trust the internet giving me all my info. It is too easy to edit out text they don’t approve of. I am cynical and paranoid and I believe with good reason.

I, too am fed up. Wore a mask for the first time on Wednesday when I had to go to the hospital after my ladder fall accident. I kept it off in room though, and the nurses didn’t make me put it back on. Texas nurses are great.
Governor Abbott got scared with the recent spike in cases and issued a mask order of sorts with a possible fine, but, it is poorly written and exceptions are a but confusing.
It may be unenforceable.
I feel your pain. Even though I have kept working.

I am so pleased you are out of the hospital. I am thanking the Lord for protecting you so well and letting us keep you around a bit longer. I have been praying for speedy healing and relief from the pain. Sometimes it takes a while to heal. 🙂
Our governor is just insane. 90 days in jail, thousand dollar fine for not wearing a mask, and you can’t engage in any commerce without one, including a drive through window at the bank. They are poorly written laws that probably wouldn’t stand up to a legal challenge and many cops are declining to participate in mask debates, but still very draconian. Worse, he’s made businesses liable, so (mostly) minimum wage employees now have to police the general public as cops, social workers, and crisis counselors enforcing mask mandates. The threats to shut down what few businesses are trying to operate is pretty intense.

Ahh, “appeasement,” that’s the word I was looking for, Rob! A bit amusing, Seattle Mayor Jenny is, well nuts. But she catered to protesters, encouraged them, supported them. Then they found out where she lived and marched over to protest at her house on her lawn! Suddenly she decided she didn’t like them anymore and needed to shut them all down. Same thing happened at the state capital, we went from “please support the peaceful protestors” to “these are domestic terrorists, arrest these animals, they just spray painted my house.”

I have been saying since forever, and even wrote a post a while back/ that this whole ‘mask business’ is one of social conditioning/ and I don’t know why believers will not face it and admit to its truth.
No shirt, no service! No mask, no entry! No mark, no sake! It is all of one, and it matters little or not at all, that government is even aware.
The ‘whole world is gone after this thing,’ and it is out of control. The conditioning is no longer subtle/ and it is outright evil.
But u are correct/ the quarantine of the populous is more than sinister.

Yep, well said Colorstorm. I was in my car at the drive through at the bank, using a tube and an intercom, some 20 feet from the building when the guy had to come on and say, “I’m sorry, we’re not allowed to complete this transaction unless you are wearing a mask.” I didn’t say a word, just put my mask on, all alone in my car talking to a guy on a speaker. This is totally about social conditioning now.

This was so well said IB and I just couldn’t agree more! In California our governor is clawing back on our re opening and actively shaming those of us who have resumed social activities. My mayor has joined in too and is purposely hiding the fact that our numbers are skewed by sick people from Mexico streaming over the border in to our hospitals. It’s really a disgusting power grab all around and you’re right, it’s not going to stop. Businesses, churches, citizens, we all need to push back. So many though have been conditioned in fear and to belittle others who don’t comply. It’s a real mess, I pray daily about it.

Amen, lots of prayer going out on my end, too! I honestly think some of these Governors and mayors are in competition with one another just to see how much they can get away with. I can’t just blame the politicians however, people themselves don’t seem to understand what’s at stake, and some are just rotten tyrants. Big movement here to try to ban the 4th of July, not just to ban fireworks, not just ban crowds, but an attempt to try to cancel our right to celebrate. Fortunately my neighborhood has been saying “no” for at least a week now. Also, it’s really hard to force ideological mandates on people when you’re busy trying to defund your cops. 🙂

To quarantine the healthy is simply tyranny.
1. I am not aware that anyone is being asked to quarentine but those who test C19-positive, or those “unknowns” who come to a new city / state / country (If you were the mayor of a city, I’m sure you would want to know whether vistors were ill before you let them mingle with your voters.)
2. Re. the quote I placed at the top of this post: activities and movement are being curtailed because we do not know who the healthy are. Surely you can understand that. Assume: you are healthy. You have intimate contact with someone who appears healthy (asymptomatic), but is actually C19-positive. You stay healthy but carry the virus back to other folks with compromised immune systems. They get sick and die. We live in an imperfect world. Because of this, solutions are bound to be imperfect. The scenario presented in this Point 2 is not just possible, it is probable. So there needs to be a defense against that happening, however imperfect that defense might be. I assume that if you were convinced that this scenario was going to happen to you tomorrow, you would do all you could to avoid the person who appears healthy but who will infect you so that you kill the folks with the compromised immune systems. Trouble is – we can’t know in all cases who is healthy and who is not just by looking at them.
3. Masks are not meant to protect the wearer. They are meant to protect those who come into the vicinity of the wearer. The transaction at the bank drive through: are there any buttons that the customer must push, or covers the customer must push out of the way in order to make a deposit or accept cash? Simply talking to the banker out of your car window can cause droplets containing the virus to be spewed from your mouth and onto surfaces that will be touched by the customer behind you. Masks don’t reduce this spewing to zero, but they do reduce the spewing significantly.
4. Singing (church) and shouting (church or riots) expell droplets containing the virus much farther than normal talking. So, if there are any folks singing (church) or shouting (riots) that are infected with C19, they will spew their virus over many more people than they would if they were just talking (or not talking). Restricting singing and shouting for a time is not an unreasonable response to not knowing which congregations or riots are going to have asymptomatic folks spewing forth many droplets containing the virus.
5. I do not see the word “insurance” in this thread. Nor do I see that word in any of the multitude of articles written about the C19 problem that I’ve read. But the insurance issue looms large over governments (and big business) everywhere. I am certain that the lawsuits are coming. State and local governments (and businesses) are going to be sued out of existance for failing to protect the citizens of said government from the ravages of C19. Those places who sent C19 folks from the hospital straight to the nursing homes are going to be hit particularly hard in the pocketbook. In anticipation of these lawsuits (and wanting their liability insurance to cover any payouts), state and local governments are covering their a**es by all of the social distancing edicts they are decreeing. When the lawsuits come, they can point to their decrees for social distancing as reasons why they should be found innocent of the charges in the lawsuites (or why the insurance company(s) should pay up). Defending themselves against the coming lawsuits is a better explanation for what has been going on than simply assuming that it is a power grab.

I think the State of Washington and the city of Seattle needs to be sued out of existence for aiding and abetting CHAZ/CHOP.
I see no reason why RICO wouldn’t apply to the entire sordid episode. Mayor Durkan and Goober what’s his name should goto prison for 30 years minimum.
Our “governments” are not imposing their China-virus policies because they care about us, they’re doing everything in order to condition us to mindlessly follow their orders, like a form of hypnosis, and to establish themselves as the only ones allowed to do any thinking or decision making in the world.
I made up a little song about CHAZ/CHOP, sung to the tune of Camelot:

I remember when I was young I read a biography of John Adams. Before the War of Independence, the British passed some act of petty tyranny on the Colonies and Adams was challenging its legality in court. A merchant asked him why he was expending so much time and energy on a case that didn’t seem that big of deal to comply with it. Adams replied that “it’s not the law itself that’s dangerous; it’s the precedent of ceding our Rights that is dangerous.” IIRC, Adams won the case, but his point about precedents has always stuck with me.
When you think of all the Rights we lost or had infringed upon during the dark years of the Bushmen, the Clintonistas, and the Obammunists, it’s no wonder that these Deep State dorks think they can get away with their crimes since they can point back to times they’ve been committed before.

Note also the expression “social distancing”. What the authorities logically wanted is “physical distancing”. Yet they called it “social distancing”. I think that is because separating us socially is the goal.

Tom: I agree that social separation is the objective here. It’s no accident that around the time ‘social distancing’ rules came in, there have been aggressive moves to shut down Conservative voices on social media, Youtube, and elsewhere. Closing churches is part of the same design, and so is shutting down bars and nightclubs.

You haven’t heard about the way they’ve been counting the deaths from the China virus? Nobody knows how many people have actually died from the virus. You call it “conspiracies,” but it just boils down to the fact that no intelligent person is going to trust a word that comes out of any official mouth at this point. They are all corrupt liars, all the politicians, all the corporate officers, all the religious leaders, all the way to the top, which happens to be the Supreme Dark Lord, and I don’t mean Teddy Spaghetti.

I do not know what you believe but you sound just like someone who believes anything without evidence and is trending on social media, such as conspiracies about the G5 communication towers claimed to be the causes of the corona virus or you viewed the conspiracy theory video “Plandemic” that has a multitude of conspiracies, for example the video suggests scientists created the virus and we all have the virus from previous vaccinations and wearing a mask activates it. It is clear that conspiracy theorists are so committed to disbelieving official accounts and that is seen as any scientific evidence that doesn’t fit into the conspiracy theory must be faked.

If you had to choose, would you believe everything the government, the mass media, academia, corporations, and religious leaders tell you, or, would you think it preferable to believe none of it until proven true?

It all depends on what sources of information you listen too, but not only that because any source can get sucked in to BS. The use of being totally unbiased, using logic and good sensible investigation is critical for finding the facts, but unfortunately many people will jump to conclusions.
For example, I would not believe anti malaria pills taken by your crazy president would combat the coronavirus because there was no creditable scientific research that supported his claim and that fact was broadcast around the world on creditable sources and thus it was a logical conclusion that it was a stupid idea, but unfortunately an additional 300,000 sucked in Americans and many other world wide suckers received a prescription for anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine.
I also do not believe the ultra rich, the rulers or elite in society or any scientists and government agenda’s will be responsible for the corona virus or anything secretive related to it. Of course I could change my mind because like most people I do not completely trust anybody who is in a position of power, but only if evidence can establish what the real facts are.
Vaccine conspiracies are responsible for recent resurgences of vaccine-preventable diseases, whereas children have been successfully vaccinated for decades and no creditable study has linked them to long term health conditions. Scientists have dispelled the myths many times. Investigation and plain common sense must prevail over indoctrinated ideals you would think.
Conspiracies regarding biological evolution, climate change, the moon landings and that the Earth is flat are common and are well documented, do you also support these?

I do not claim to be impressive, if you cannot see the obvious misgivings of your president I am wasting my time. I have already mentioned only a couple of unforgivable and ridiculous claims he has suggested regarding the virus and if that had been repeated by world leaders in any other first world democracy they would swiftly be removed from office.
If you think what he said was intelligent and responsible please justify it with some evidence that he was correct, has the anti-malarial drug worked for example?
You have 60,500 new cases of COVID-19 in one day, a new record. Your country at this rate is never going to get out of the hole unless you all support healthy behaviours, if this means wearing a mask to help prevent the spread of virus and keeping social distancing I think you should start taking it seriously.

Doctors, psychologists, and entire health depts tried to get the language changed to “physical distancing,” back at the start of all this, but to no avail. “Social Distancing” has a long history of segregation, persecution, and shunning. Not okay terminology at all. Language does matter.

You may be slightly interested to know that just this morning I heard someone being interviewed on the radio, some sports coach, talking about his players “physical distancing” at practice. Maybe the bad guys are a bit sensitive to getting caught and being outed when they abuse the language? It was the first I’d heard the term used not in the context of comparing it to the “social distancing” verbiage. Word’s lives matter.

I do agree with you and IB that words are powerful weapons, we just have to be careful that we do not over estimate what the intention was to use them, because it is easy to interpret the choice of words to suit ideals.

Words ARE chosen to suit ideology. “Social distancing ” was deliberately chosen by people who knew perfectly well what the implications were and were advised by numerous experts in the field to change it to “physical distancing.” I bore witness to much of that debate, just a few short months ago. That is not a conspiracy, that is not ignorance on their part, and it was no accident. If the two phrases meant the same thing, if it didn’t really matter, they would not have fought so hard to keep their “social distancing” terminology.
I am not going to be careful I don’t “overestimate the intention,” the intention was plainly stated and laid out before us. Some day they are going to be held accountable because that was no accident, no error in judgement.

I think whatever the reason for the choice of words it pales in significance when you consider what is at stake with the outbreak of this virus and I cannot see how accountable someone can be for the choice of one single word because on their own they do not represent any ideals or political motives from what I can see.

The answer is that people need to have their own mind so they can think for themselves and evaluate the various statements they are subjected to objectively and independently.
I’ve found it helpful to think that everything the news media and politicians and all authorities in general if B.S., such that if I wanted to know what the truth actually was I would have to figure it out for my self. Whether the issue is politics, philosophy, science, theology, whatever, I have taken responsibility for making up my own mind, after performing an investigation. There are a lot of things I haven’t figured out, but, I’m comfortable being an agnostic about things I haven’t been able to figure out.
One thing is for sure, though, and that is that the powers that shouldn’t be lie like rugs all the time about everything and cannot be trusted. Even when they tell the truth about some isolated fact it is only for the purpose of more effectively manipulating their victims.

In retrospect, I agree with you that once we knew how it was transmitted, we should have made it a choice between wise or foolish behavior and management, especially in nursing homes or families with elderly household members.

Sadly though, the USA makes very limited use of the 3000-year-old observations of wise King Solomon.
Instead of wise and prudent, we focus on teaching Rights.’
For example, if someone decides their health is at risk, they should wisely make use of mask and keeping their hands sterilized and quarantine themselves.
And if a private enterprise wants to mandate masked for customers to prevent unmasked possibly infected customers from infecting other customers, that is their Right. Some stores in my area limited hours for the elderly, most susceptible which was wise and considerate.
We need school choice or school vouchers to focus on teach discernment of wise of foolish so they understand how to manage Rights, and Wrongs in their lives, families, and communities.
Frankly, also in retrospect, the main reason the government-imposed quarantines in my opinion was the foolish decision to allow 90 percent of PPE and N95 masks to be outsourced to China instead of the USA.
They quarantined travel to and from specific area and made everyone wear masks because they are a Communist Country and of course bought out all the masks supplies when they first became aware of the pandemic.

Does anybody else but me see that The Mask – or more accurately the *absence* of one – has become a perverse Star of David?
It’s pretty slick, if you ask me. Now we can all tell at a glance who is compliant and who is a dirty dissenter!
And I’m really, really tired of being told we have to wear one because, Science!
Who’s *science* are we talking about exactly? Are we talking about the data that indicates that The Covid is roughly as virulent as the flu with a similar death rate of less than 0.1%? Do you know anyone who caught the flu – just the plain, old, garden variety – last year? Probably, right? Know anyone who contracted The Covid? I don’t know anyone personally who got it. Not a single person. And I doubt you do either.
The pandemic is OVER. Yes, we will likely see a resurgence in the fall when cold and flu season kicks in, but we now know how to manage the risk and prevent our healthcare system from becoming overwhelmed.
Science, actual data, indicates that it was the initial, basic precautions we took – shutting down the borders to keep out the sick, frequent handwashing, and isolating those with already compromised immune systems – were the most effective at flattening the curve. I wish I had the graphic available to show you, but you can see the infection rate forms a perfect bell curve, and if you line up the dates of further protective measures – the lockdown, banning large crowds, and now the mandatory masks – you’ll find they all came AFTER the curve began to fall, making it nearly impossible to determine what effect, if any, these later measures actually had.
Look, if wearing The Mask was really about protecting health then there would be stipulations about what sort of masks are acceptable. Medical masks only filter what you’re breathing out and industrial style ones only filter what’s coming in. And of course if you think tying a filthy rag over your gob is gonna protect you, you’re seriously stupid.
‘Member I told you I had a stash of N95s – you know, the masks that *actually* work – “just in case”? Still haven’t worn one, lol, and now that it’s mandatory, I’ve taken my stand.
I will not put on my Star of David like a good little Jew. (And that is no offense to our Jewish friends, who obviously had little choice in the matter.)
Nope. I will not comply. I dissent and so long as I continue to have the right to dissent, I’m going to exercise it.
And if I absolutely must comply, I intend to stick a big old maxipad over my face. Hey, there are no stipulations as to what constitutes a “proper” face covering, and it can’t be any worse than a filthy rag, right?

LOL! I encountered a man in Safeway wearing an intimate item of some sort on his face who gave me a good chuckle. Because of people like him and the Lone Ranger, I have been able to endure this misery with a bit of humor.
Still really distressing to me is hiking in the middle of nowhere, and seeing people in masks and gloves, outside in the wilderness. People actually drive by alone in their cars here, with the windows rolled up and just glare at me like I’m robbing a liquor store. People have actually stopped, yelled at me, and taken a picture. I just mention it because that kind of behavior is not okay, it is psychologically damaging, and our public health officials and politicians who have created this situation are fully accountable for the harm they are doing.

I’m killing myself laughing here because I’m a conservative and a Christian…I got used to being stigmatized decades ago!
I guess it must be a real concern for some though, so much so that they’re willing to cave to the demand without taking the time to think through what they are acquiescing to.
Or worse, they just want their pint of Ben & Jerry’s so bad that they don’t care what they have to consent to to get it.

ourladyofblahblahblah – I really admire your ‘hootspa’ and agree with your take on THE MASK. Until two weeks ago, I knew NO ONE – friend, relative, or personal acquaintance who knew of anyone in their personal circles. Then my friend’s pastor succumbed to the virus, 45 miles from my home. An annual check–up with my doctor revealed that about 100 patients are currently being treated, although NOT hospitalized. Today’s data shows that of the 3992 total cases in my county, only 51 deaths have occurred. That death rate has flat lined since mid-May. The majority of residents here Do Not wear face coverings – except in gov-mandated businesses wear entry is not permitted without THE MASK.
The correlation to WWII Star of David badges is not the only striking similarity to Nazi take over and what is happening in the streets of major cities across America. The push for a national adopting of a ‘new America’, the disrespect & de-funding of police, the elevation of one ‘race’ above others, the closure of religious institutions, and the nearly unabated media support for one political party, ALL should warn of impending revolution aimed at ending traditional values once held in highest esteem among the vast majority of Americans. Like the 2016 election.the choice may well be the lesser of two evils in the minds of many. Nevertheless, today’s ‘change’ is NOT about improving America, as much as destroying it.

I’m not sure if you’re aware of what’s going on up here in Canada, but this summer our country quietly went from a multi-party democracy to a one-party system. Our PM shut down Parliament, refuses to tell us when he will recall it, and is governing without any Opposition (that is, opposing voices from opposition-party members).
That, folks, is what we call totalitarianism.
You know my dad fled East Germany in the 50s to *escape* that totalitarian regime, so I’ll be damned if I voluntarily roll over and put myself under the thumb of yet another petty dictator-wannabe.
Never in my life did I think I would be in this place, where I am forced to oppose my own government. It’s a scary thing, MJ, so outside the realm of my lived experience that I simply don’t know how to respond.
Hence, the mask. It seems like a stupid thing to object to given the wider picture, but it’s just sort of coalesced in my mind as a symbol of conformity…and I just can’t. My conscience simply doesn’t allow me to.
I would never presume to tell others what they should or shouldn’t put on their faces – I leave that up to individual consciences. And of course I’m not a complete a-hole, if I encounter circumstances where it would be wise and prudent to wear a mask – entering a nursing home or hospital, for example – of course I will.
But I will not put on my badge and announce to the world that I am something I’m *not*. The truth is always better than a lie, even if it results in some grief for me along the way.

I kept saying I felt what the fact that the people in America were being openly pitted against one another to divide us, the fact that the media has not followed FCC regulations for years now meant that we are all being “punked” by the greedy power mongers of the world. Wow, you sure pegged it right on the bull’s eye. It’s strange to think that elite banksters would “punk” us but that’s what it is. Their baloney is just too stupid and silly at this point to suppose that they intend us to take it seriously, it’s all about them doing their victory dance, showing off their power and the fact that they think we can’t do anything about it because it’s too late, they won. But I think you’re right, we can do something about it, and seeing them for what they are is the first step towards fixing the problem.

I also like to quote verbatim the guy on the tv in “They Live,” “Their intention to rule rests with the annihilation of consciousness.” If we insist on retaining our consciousness, we win. If we hand over our consciousness, we lose.
Keep in mind that people aren’t handing over their consciousness for nothing. People are trading their consciousness for pleasures and entertainments and status and money and all that sort of rot. Our main enemy truly is people’s love of pleasure and their relative disdain for consciousness.

There are officials taking advantage of the problem, and there are officials letting it all go. This spells lack of leadership. It should’ve stayed at an earlier goal post, with a simple message.
In practice, businesses would be open again to capacity with people wearing cheap surgical masks with distancing. Personally, however, I have trouble trusting the public when it seems most people don’t even wash their hands. Some areas of the country aren’t taking any precautions whatsoever, and even mock people wearing a mask. The actions needed to be taken aren’t one-size-fits-all, but seriously. It is a real problem, with reports of hospitals getting full again.

So, I haven’t had time to research the entire country, but several hospital administrators in Washington, Florida, and Arizona have now issued statements debunking the media hysteria about “full hospitals.” What many people don’t realize is that our hospitals had such a lack of patients, especially since all non essential medical care was canceled, that they had to lay off workers. 5500 at the UW alone. So when ICU beds are “not available,” that does not mean it is because they are full of covid patients. It often means they reduced the number of beds available because they were not needed. Hospitals like to run pretty close to full as much as possible. They do not just want to staff empty beds. In the absence of patients, they take those beds off line and lay off the personnel to staff them. That leads to a “less beds available” status.
