So let me just get this out of the way right out of the gate, many of those SJW Twitter pastors, all outraged and offended about how allegedly “the President is just using the Bible as a prop and a church as a backdrop,” are probably suffering from a bad case of projection.

Yep, I said it! We tend to hate in others what we hate in ourselves, even when we don’t recognize it. A good chunk of y’all are offended because YOU’VE been using the Bible as a prop and using a church as a backdrop. I know this because you pick and choose which parts of the Bible you believe in, you comply with the culture, and you look just like the world. Also, you cultivate fear and hatred. Then you advocate for perpetual victimhood and attempt to nurture all those delicious and quite seductive, feelings of persecution.

We’ve just watched people being murdered outright, businesses being destroyed, churches burned, but what do you choose to be outraged about? The President walking out of the White House with a Bible in his hand to stand in front of a church.

Hey, I get it, Orange Man Bad. Trump derangement syndrome is some powerful stuff. So, you can dislike him, you can disagree, you have the freedom to think and feel anything you like. I advise against indulging in outright hatred and fear, because I believe hatred and fear are very destructive forces, but again, that’s your choice.

What you don’t get to do is declare who you feel is worthy to hold a Bible and who you believe isn’t. Left, right, black, white, rich, poor, doesn’t matter, you don’t get to be the Decider of Who is Worthy. My Bible says, “There is no one righteous, not even one..”

Including you.

Some of you fools seem to have forgotten that truth. Ironically, there are also quite a few rather conservative evangelicals who really need to hear my words, too. They probably won’t, but really they “need to.”

This feeling entitled to decide who is worthy to hold a Bible, who is worthy to stand in front of a church, or sit in one,  is a real boil on the butt of Western Christianity. I’ve actually now walked out of four churches over it.  I simply will not play that game.  There is no one righteous, not even one.  It’s in the Bible, the same Bible some people feel entitled to accuse others of misusing.

If someone is being disruptive, violating your basic tenets, then by all means, toss them out of your circle,  but put a Bible in their hands and invite them to follow Jesus Christ. We don’t own the faith.

People never ask me why I support the President, why I am a fan, and I try to avoid politics as much as possible, because I genuinely believe that far too often they divide and distract us in faith. I don’t care if you’re a donkey, an elephant, a libertarian, or a complete anarchist, Jesus died for you and His gift doesn’t require you to have politically correct beliefs. You’re only asked to believe in Him.

I support President Trump because he taught me you don’t need anybody’s permission to pick up a Bible, walk out the door, and stand in front of a church.  It is actually churchians and Christians who have sometimes caused me to doubt that truth.

You people got so many dang rules about who gets in and who doesn’t, 90% of them totally arbitrary preferences and projections! This is just as true of the liberal church as it is of the conservative church. Y’all have totally forgotten, we are justified by Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, not by your approval.

President Trump with his multiple divorces and assorted scandals, with great opposition, with people declaring him unworthy, simply picked up a Bible, walked out his door, and started leading the entire country.

And I,  just a whosoever in Whoville realized that if he can do it, I sure don’t need anybody’s permission, either.
