believeIn faith, it is not about being right or wrong, it is about being forgiven.

Luke 7:47, “Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”

Matthew 26:13 says, “Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.”

This one little verse is so important because it captures the whole concept of grace. There is only one gospel, it is the gospel of grace. And, Whersoever this gospel shall be preached….

We are called to love our neighbor. How do we “love much?”

By being forgiven ourselves, much.

In faith, it is not about being right or wrong, it is about being forgiven.

Never in the history of the world has someone filled with self loathing, bitterness, condemnation, fear, judgment, been able to love their neighbor properly. Grace is a very reflective thing. We are forgiving of others because we were first forgiven.

Also, that part about loving one another? That’s a commandment. Step one, be forgiven, and then you will be forgiving of others.

The world works on this right/wrong system, wrong politics, wrong denomination, wrong doctrines, wrong standards, wrong tribe. The Kingdom chucks all that on its head. It is no longer about being right or wrong, it is about being forgiven. It is a totally different paradigm, one about abundant, overflowing grace.

John 7:38 says, “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”

That IS the potency of the gospel.
