I am actually not opposed to the flat earthers at all, nor do I mock and ridicule them. Some of the things they say are actually quite interesting and I’m always up for a good metaphorical conspiracy theory about the nature of reality.
For all we know, we could be living in the Matrix and the entire universe could be a holographic projection. Actually, there’s some scientists pursuing exactly that.
But I thought this was quite funny and too good not to share.

Ha. Good one msb!
I see you fear no repercussions from such an age old topic. But you are correct, we assume too much. To this day I never have seen water run uphill, and no one can convince me that gravity has the wherewithal to differentiate between water, heavy sand, or a butterfly.
While ants can walk on basketballs and ceilings, I also have yet to see a man walk with his head in the ground in South Africa. 😉
But I am no mere ant! They embarrass me with their work ethic. Back on point, take note of the spirit in which people carry their defense of such things. Goes a long way. I’m laughing though; wrote a post about our ignorance of what lies a hundred feet beneath the ocean, and we pretend to ‘master the heavens.’ Yeah, ok, sure.
Personally, I avoid the term ‘flat earth,’ because of the unnecessary baggage, but I do appreciate the term ‘stationary.’ Such a nice word. 😉 As in immoveable, as the throne of God itself.

Flat earthers? Bah. I’m a matrix hologrammer, myself. Because it is what it isn’t. 😉

I’m betting on a WestWorld scenario. Hardware and software. We are partially stuck in a material universe, and partially commanded by something from outside. Which would explain a lot, actually…

I have two that would love to push everything off the earth and simply sit there watching it all just float away in space 🙂

Now that’s a scary thought! What if cats could push stuff off the face of the earth? What if stuff just floated away into space. Wouldn’t cats chase after what they pushed off into space. Wouldn’t dogs leap after the cats? Is this then the explanation for why it sometimes rains cats and dogs?

No but a good thought– that goes back to straw and thatched roofs when those would bring their animals inside from the elements and the animals would in turn get in the loft and would at times fall through — hence raining cats and dogs 🐶

Love the cat meme. If God were my cats we would all be chased around until our will was broken, then we would be slowly tortured and killed, with our carcusses left to rot. (Sadly, some actually think God is like my cats!)
Btw, the “flat-earthers” are no more preposterous than those who say the universe was not intelligently designed. Actually the latter is more preposterous.
The Matrix (first movie), or some highly sophisticated hologram, is actually pretty close to biblical truth. We’re all contained within Christ (Col.1:16-17). Adam introduced a glitch in the Matrix. Christ, the Second Adam (Neo) came to fix it. 🙂

That’s actually quite funny. If you want to know more about conspiracy theories from psychological perspective (mental processes & bias) be sure to check my blog. I break it into 2 parts, why people make conspiracy theory and why people believe it. Thank you
