I’m rather fond of Wraith so this post is no reflection on him at all, but he left a comment about how we should “stop equating the alt-right with White supremacy.”
Well, I should very much like not to do that, and I believe there are quite a few sensible people calling themselves “Alt Right.” However, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s just a duck. The Alt Right flat-out has a white supremacy problem, as is evidenced by the actual white supremacists within their ranks, and then the lessor known white supremacists they like also to praise and hold up as heroes.
To make matters worse, Wraith linked to Vox Day’s 16 points on what the Alt Right is, specifically point 15. “The Alt Right does not believe in the general supremacy of any race, nation, people, or sub-species. Every race, nation, people, and human sub-species has its own unique strengths and weaknesses, and possesses the sovereign right to dwell unmolested in the native culture it prefers.”
While Vox Day may enjoy navel gazing over his own alleged rhetorical trickery, color me quite unimpressed, downright disappointed actually. He’s just not the sharpest tool in the shed, so those who hang on his every word, must be breathtakingly stupid indeed.
Unless one has just been dropped out of the back of a turnip truck and landed on their head, “a sub-species having the sovereign right to dwell unmolested in the native culture it prefers,” is nothing more than a fancy way to say, Indian, go back to the reservation. Mexicans to Mexico, black folks back to Africa, and Italians back to Italy. What you do with us half breeds is beyond me. The native culture I prefer happens to be American.
See, the idea is that “the native culture that you prefer,” is also the place you are assigned to be, and you have the sovereign right to be there…. which we will enforce. You have the sovereign right to be there unmolested, but should you step out of your place, you will indeed be molested….
That’s what that means.
So the actual accusation from Wraith, one which I actually respect, one which has some merit to it was, “You may or may not agree with the alt-right, but defaming them is a) a sure sign that you can’t win the argument on its merits, and b) you’re bearing false witness, which we Christians are really not supposed to be doing.”
I can totally win the argument on its merits alone and I frequently do. I do not defame them, they defame themselves. People like Vox Day actually will not allow any discussion, primarily because they are extremely paranoid and extremely insecure. So the reason why you do not see people like me commenting at those places is not because we don’t have a good argument, but becasue they ban us and will not allow any discussion.
As to the second part, “….you’re bearing false witness, which we Christians are really not supposed to be doing,” as I said, they defame their own selves. I can only know them by their fruits. Their fruits are often very dark and hateful. I can’t make a purse out of a sow’s ear or spin straw into gold. They are simply without excuse. To bear false witness would actually be more akin to denying the nature of the problem and trying to spin a public relations campaign for those who are obviously in the wrong. It is simply observable reality that many on the Alt Right do indeed have a white supremacy problem.
This guy here was recently praised and idolized as a hero. Ironically, punching an unarmed girl in the face is the least of his problems. He has a pretty extensive criminal record, PTSD, is a self-declared white supremacist, and has even be featured in the LA Times as an advocate of white supremacy on college campuses. So, the excuse, we aren’t actual white supremacists ourselves, we just glorify and hero-worship the violence perpetuated by them, is a weak excuse indeed.

Can we just sue the guy with the “Jesus will judge you” shirt for defaming Jesus’ character? 🙂
Yep, they pretty much do a pretty good job of defaming themselves.

Can you imagine how rich we’d be if we just sued all the people who have defamed Jesus? I mean, it’s about the most awful thing you can do, and yet that list is so l-o-n g…… 🙂

Gavin McCinnes has explained all this–there is alt-light, alt-right, far alt-right, then there’s pseudo-alt.
The problem is that the alt-light thinks that term is derogatory and so they refuse to distinguish a difference.

I’m actually GLAD that young, white men have finally begun to FIGHT BACK against ALL of the LIES that have been spread about their motives, priorities and intentions during the last 50 years of the non-Christian, anti-Christian, radical, second-wave feminist’s reign. White “Supremacy” is a racist, bigoted, derogatory and deliberately inflammatory term devised by those very same anti-Christian anarchists who have irrationally hated WHITE MEN for DECADES because of their Christian faith, and because of the Christian standards of behavior they try and uphold within themselves and in others! Show me a list of attributes that young, white men are LACKING, as compared to the remainder of humanity? It’s very hard to put one together, and for this, we should be grateful and consider ourselves LUCKY because the TRUTH is that they are some of the brightest, strongest, and most admirable and dependable people on earth! I fully understand their outrage at being chronically demeaned and belittled, when they should instead, be respected and rewarded for their steadfast commitments to family, hard work, community, country, civility and God. It doesn’t surprise me one bit that there are times when their fury bubbles to the surface! What does surprises me is that they’ve been able to control their tempers for SOOOO very long!

I’ll agree with you there, it really is good to see some push back. But it needs to be tempered with some values, some honor and integrity. There are young men in our culture who have no idea what it means to be men, so they’re out smashing windows and basically acting like lose canons. That behavior not only fuels the opposition, it doesn’t honor those values they claim to be fighting for.

Then it’s time to let the white guys get the black neighborhoods back under control and not force these men to stand by and idly watch as their communities continue to be eroded away by gangs, thugs and crackpots. Blacks are obviously NOT able to control themselves and they are inevitably the source of “smashed windows”, drive by shootings and drug dealings, NOT the white guys! You are falling for their racist bait too.
The real source of “smashed windows” is the fact that most politicians are cowards by nature and it’s much safer to blame the good people, rather than the evil people, when things go bad and the MSM loves the lies because they irrationally hate the white guys too. This unleashes societal chaos because there is no punishment for those who are TRULY the criminals!! And that’s what’s been going on for 50 years in our communities, while white guys have been raised, trained and finally intimidated to “turn the other cheek”! Our major cities AND their police departments, have been run by blacks for decades and the devastation inflicted by the proliferation of crime, during their tenure, is patently obvious, even to the casual observer. We lived in Detroit in the 1970s. It was bad then. It’s destroyed now and it’s been run by “window smashing” blacks for that entire time. And yet the Sharptons of the world still blame white men for their problems!! It’s crazy!! White guys are blamed EVERYTHING that’s wrong with OTHER people, when they did NOTHING throughout history but follow the tenets of their faith, leading by example, while trying to pull the entire country up with them. Those who deliberately chose to use their free will to corrupt, rob, “smash windows” or injure their families and communities, over the last 50 years, made those choices THEMSELVES. Their isn’t a white guy on earth that had ANYTHING to do with those bad choices, or for that matter, the bad choices of most of the rest of humanity. So, my feeling is – be my guest. FIGHT BACK! Maybe I’ll finally have a chance to see the return of truthful accountability for bad behavior, and just MAYBE, the stars will come back into alignment and our country will be returned to the Christian “peaceable kingdom” in which I grew up, before I die!

OK, darlin’…you don’t like Vox. I get that. Sometimes he rubs me the wrong way, too. But we must needs remember that God is Truth. Literally. God IS fact. Reason IS God. God IS logic. And Truth exists independently of the source.
Let’s say we’re out walking one day, and I point up at that big yellow thing in the sky and say, “That’s the sun!” And you agree, saying “Yeah, that’s the sun, all right.” And let’s say that a skinhead walks by in boots and braces, wearing a black flight and a swastika armband, with a forehead tat reading I HATE N*GG*RS, and says, “Yeah, man, that’s the sun. WHITE POWER!!”
Does the sun stop being the sun simply because a particularly loathsome person points out that fact? Do the patterns of history and the psychology of fallen man cease to be just because they are inventoried by a person of motives and character you might find questionable or even repulsive?
Duane, above, is a case in point. I may not agree with the general attitude, but it’s hard to disagree with most of the objective points raised.

Amen, God is truth, and Truth is a person. Jesus Christ said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
The sun does not stop being the sun, but those who forget who they are and Whose they are tend to do a whole lot of damage and to fuel the opposition. Heck, I’d fight them myself. There are no values being fought for when someone is just out punching girls in the head and promoting violence towards people.

That ‘girl’ is, in fact, a grown woman(since she’s doing porn, she’d better be, or someone’s in no small amount of trouble)who was throwing bottles at people. This can potentially kill someone.
Jesus never told us to stand by idly while evil people are committing ADW.

I hear you, Wraith. I know what you are saying. Nobody asks us to stand by idly. We just have to do better than sending out these convicted felons with PTSD to punch girls in the head in front of cameras. I actually don’t feel bad for her, it’s not like she’s an innocent bystander. I don’t want to see this guy charged with a crime, I want us to evaluate how we are representing Christ and what battle we are actually fighting.

I am astounded by what you have just said. I think anybody who reads here know I am all about personal responsibility, and that bad behavior should not be condoned. No problem at all. Thugs are thugs…and should be treated like thugs. I won’t mince words here:
You said:”Blacks are obviously NOT able to control themselves and they are inevitably the source of “smashed windows”, drive by shootings and drug dealings, NOT the white guys!”
Well, shall we list the problems with that statement? Most of all, it’s a falsehood. Not, only that, but it was a singularly racist thing to say. Hate to break your heart, but yeah, white guys are thugs, too.
Ok. Next. Let the white guys get the black neighborhoods under control? What is this, South Africa?
Having said that, I actually agree that our cities, largely populated by African Americans, are in chaos. I GREW UP in one of those cities; I actually grew up in black neighborhoods.
Sure, let’s storm in there and kick some butt, that will solve the problems! How’s this for an idea? How about we send our churches back to cities that they largely abandoned and left to their own devices. Let’s let Jesus solve this problem, not a bunch of storm troopers.
