Area Man Accepts Burden Of Being Only Person On Earth Who Understands How World Actually Works
I know this guy! I bump into him on the internet all the time. I’m telling you, this guy is stalking me and I think he’s cloning himself, too. He’s got an army out there.
There are a few specks of that guy within me, too, or at least enough I can empathize. My struggle is that I often bump into people who are banging their elbow on something over and over again and complaining about the pain, and so I just want to say, “Stop banging your elbow!” Life is seldom that simple however. If the fix was that easy, they probably would have done it already.
I’m forever quoting, “you can be right or you can be in love.” It’s just a catchy reminder that you can have relationship and connection or you can play capture the flag with little truths and win arguments. Don’t get me wrong, there are some things worth standing up for, some arguments that need to be won. It is just a reminder to always ask ourselves what our motivations are and what we really want to accomplish. Like when you’re married, sometimes it’s foolish to be fighting over socks on the floor when you could be gazing into one another’s eyes and eating chocolate instead.

“you can be right or you can be in love.” . I’ve never heard that one! I LOVE it! So true! This morning I was greeted with my husband’s unwashed dishes and my first thought was very small minded and small hearted then the Holy Spirit reminded me of all he does all the time for me and us and all my inner arguments evaporated for the love of love. At our small group this we we sang I AM A FRIEND OF GOD and my heart was unraveled by the thought that God calls me friend. We are His friend when we do what He asks of us. He has one request:. Love Me. Love each other. OK.👍😊🤗😉❤️❤️❤️

Ah, how sweet!
Sometimes when I am tripping over socks and picking up dishes, I try to remember the time he had to chase the sewer line down. It’s a fair trade, I’ll just enjoy washing things in warm water indoors and call it good. 🙂

Hilarious! “There are a few specks of that guy within me…” That’s how cloning works, doncha know.
I’m amused and reminded of the half-baked comedy that aired last season – “Brain Dead”. Alien bugs would enter a victim’s ear mysteriously scrambling their minds. The result was an about face in personal ideology, turning Republicans into Democrats and vice versa. But that’s only ‘Part I’.
The second part is the teaching proclaimed in a popular film, “The Ring”. A courtesy disclaimer introduces the trailer – “If you watch this film, you die”
So, my point is – that burdened guy is not alone. Everyone who watched these now know how this world actually works! We’re not alone, many of us have been infected.
While some may naively dismiss this as mere fiction, the proof that it isn’t is born by the reality of so many lost socks. The convenient excuse that the dryer must have eaten them is abject denial!
Fighting over socks on the floor is a responsibility too frequently abandoned for chocolate indulgences, resulting in those forgotten socks leaving home feeling unwanted – until the cat mistakes them for a mouse, because some bug crawled into her ear.
You do realize, that now that you’ve read this – YOU too are a clone, destined to bear the burden of these disclosures!
P.S. “you can be right, or you can be in love” – as in, “yeah, but he’s my mess” – my daughter’s pat answer to all her hubby’s ‘wrongs’..

Here, I always thought it was Cliff on “Cheers.” 🙂 But, yes, there are lot of clones out there!
“you can be right or you can be in love.”
You do realize that the ancient Greeks thought being in love was a form of insanity. Maybe that’s our problem in the West, Too much opinionated philosophy, not enough insanity.

Funny bit of insight.
MJThompson makes a good point. Anyone can fall into the trap of believing we have the Burden Of Being THE Only Person On Earth Who Understands How THE World Actually Works. We just have to forget for a moment that THE Only Person On Earth Who Understands How THE World Actually Works sees very little of THE World. We each have a very limited point of view. We just see that little part of THE World that we can see. Only God sees THE WHOLE World.
