I just happen to like this little animation. A fair amount of people seem to enjoy telling me that believing in God defies reality. I don’t feel that way at all, mostly because I have enough intellectual humility to accept the fact that we people are not even able to firmly grasp the nature of reality and define it properly.
One of my favorite debates about God comes from a couple of guys with some disabling cognitive issues. I have really learned that wisdom and intelligence do not go hand in hand. So in the process of arguing, one guy says, “Are you real? If you are real, than God is real. If you’re not real, than don’t even worry about it.”
I can’t tell you how many books I’ve read, how many lectures I’ve attended, how many branches of science I’ve tried to study, all just to finally come to that same eventual conclusion.

By far one of the best arguments I’ve heard. Thank you for sharing!

Lol! Love it. I have to wonder if the animated guy standing on a large # 42 was a nod to ‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,’ which I may or may not have read as a teen. . .

The people telling you that God defies reality also watch CNN, right?

LOL! That’s a distinct possibility.
I once had a guy lecture me about reality, while wearing a loin cloth with a bone through his nose. That one confused me. π

So…the moral of the story is…nothing is real to people with empty heads. π
If anything, quantum science should make agnostics out of all thinking atheists. We certainly can prove without a doubt that we don’t know everything.

LOL! Yep, pretty much. We don’t know nothing about everything. π
A good scientific mind must be somewhat agnostic, because science is all about observation. You can’t very well observe and learn new things if you’re absolutely convinced they don’t and can’t exist.
In faith, agnostics are at least a logical place to be, atheists, not so much.

That’s why I don’t believe in atheists. π

It’s a relief to hear that agnostics are at a logical place to be as agnostic is where I’m at.

That’s a good thing, David. Logical is a good step. I like the totally insane world of irrational numbers, quantum mechanics, and faith myself, but there’s nothing wrong with those who like to keep their feet more on the ground.

Well, I get vertigo when float off the ground, so I’ll probably stay earth-bound.

LOL! I actually spent a lot of time on boats and I don’t have a problem with heights, so that might explain the difference. Trying to walk on flat ground that isn’t moving gives me trouble sometimes, though π
